This series begins in the town of Odínsdomov (Odin's House) in the Kingdom of Slovania and is intended to head northward into the lands of ruin that once were the great Æsir Empire, which fell and was destroyed in the Great Wars long ago. Most of the empire's ruins are void of human or other civilized populations but they are by no means unpopulated.
