An extremely difficult literary puzzle for solo players or for enterprising adventuring groups.
Within a reclusive and eclectic mage's home, a hoard of magic treasure awaits, locked in the vault within. However, only an intricate and involved ritual will open the vault door, and the magician is nowhere to be found. By gathering the 28 out-of-order journal pages, you can piece together the instructions and retrieve the treasure. Is your group up to the task?
This extremely challenging puzzle, inspired by the fiendishly difficult literary work Cain's Jawbone, requires careful reading, attention to detail, and a knowledge of D&D lore. It is appropriate for characters of any level, though it uses lore from the Forgotten Realms setting. It can be used as a solo adventure, a "game night" or one-shot, or as part of a larger campaign. Players should be prepared for a very vexing puzzle.
This version does not have a solution included. As a solo player (or a group working together), you will have to solve the puzzle yourself! Enough information is provided within, and you are encouraged to attempt it.
