The game consists of 3 phases: drafting, training, and competing. In the drafting phase, players draw and pass athlete cards to build out their initial team of 3 athletes. In the training phase, players take turns playing episode cards to buff/debuff athletes and activate events while building a story. Half-way through the training phase, the sport card is revealed which determines which stats matter and how many athletes will be sent out per team. In the competition phase, players total their respective team scores according to the active sport card to determine the winner.
