In Toy Story 4 you take turns picking cards from a common storage and immediately place them in front of you. The way the storage works is central to the game and where the real interaction takes place.
The cards show shelves with toys. The background behind the shelves is either green, yellow or blue. When you place the cards in front of you, i e build the shelves, you may have a shelf of each of the 3 colors.
Some toys get an extra bonus for being placed next to each other, other toys cannot be placed next to each other.
Usually you may only have one toy of each sort on a shelf so you will have to finish shelves during the game. When you finish a shelf you put it to your scoring pile and may start a new shelf of that color.
When the game ends you add up all points shown on the cards you in your scoring pile. Most Points win.
