Traders of the Silk Road is a tabletop card strategy game by independent game developer Arrogant Pixel. It is a historical, turn based card game based on the ancient trading routes that trailed throughout Africa, Asia and Europe. It aims to highlight underrepresented cultures and real-life historical locations through its authentic and stunning card designs.
Players are pitted against each other to gain the most money and commodities. They will visit different locations as they progress through the game and attempt to outbid each other on new stock. These items can be either sold for a profit, used by the player to protect themselves, or to gain an advantage over others.
Rounds are played in 3 stages: Location Phase, Auction Phase, and Player Phase. In each, players will grow their inventory and pad their pockets - but will have to watch out for tragedy rearing its head and stealing their fortunes.
