Description

Citizen of the Road

Devotees of the gods of travel are most at home when on the journey from one place to another. While many focus on physical locations, these clerics focus on the path between them. Roads, both physical and proverbial, are where the real stories happen. Roads are the catalyst of expansion of ideas, of commerce, and of personal growth. Travel on land, by sea, through caverns, or into magical mists hold some of the gravest dangers in the realm.

Various gods can either enable or hinder one’s journey, so many clerics offer their services to those who would travel into unknown and dangerous lands. Their prayers, devotion, and sacrifice to the gods allow safe and speedy travel. These merchants, sailors, or adventurers celebrate their successful arrival at their destination while the clerics of travel seek to find their next journey.

Road and Destination

This Cleric subclass is designed to give players a diverse utility character whose devotion can fall to many gods. They can be good or evil, but lean towards a chaotic nature, the roads and high seas a symbol of their personal freedom. These clerics can be guides on treacherous paths, navigators on a pirate ship, or diviners who guide the lost in the mists of the Shadowfell.

The Travel Cleric's primary ability is to create pathways out of divine energy, which allows movement both in and out of combat. Creative players will love to make this class their own.
