Description
Travels is one of six pencil and paper games described in the Sid Sackson book, Calculate! .
The playing sheet is similar to the “distances between major cities” schematic diagram found in a road atlas. It shows roadway segments and mileage connecting 50 cities. A mathematical operation is performed on the calculator to randomly select 10 of the cities. Players begin at separate cities among the chosen 10, then move 1 or 2 road segments each turn while choosing a path that visits each of the remaining 9 in any order. Lowest total distance traveled for a circuit back to the starting point wins the game.
