Trembling Footsteps

The Shagmoor Heaths are home to shepherds and their flocks, and not much more. Life is simple and peaceful. But recently, the heaths have become a hunting ground for massive burrowing beasts, feasting on the sheep and goats where they can. The locals have little in the way of stopping these creatures as their hides are plated and their hunger insatiable. They must depend on the hearts and steel of brave warriors to slay the underground invaders, to cease the trembling in their footsteps.

Trembling Footsteps is a Q-Encounter, or Quick-Encounter, that can be run for a group of four to six players with 10th-level characters. This encounter would be considered a ‘medium’ to ‘hard’ encounter.
