Seiken Densetsu 3 is the third installment in Squares action RPG series "Seiken Densetsu" (or "Mana"). The second game, "Secret of Mana" had been a success in the States and Europe, but Seiken 3 was not officially translated into English until 2019, when it was released under the name "Trials of Mana" on the Collection of Mana compilation.

In Seiken 3, the players started with choosing 3 out of 6 characters to play with. Like in its predecessors, the non-player controlled characters acted according to an AI that could be set in aggressive or passive mode. Unlike Seiken 2, however, Seiken Densetsu 3 did not feature a 3 player cooperative mode.
