Trim the tree with your elf patrol, trying to get the garland on before any ornaments get dropped.
Players take control of a Team of Elves, trying to put the garland on the Christmas tree in someone's house. A pesky squirrel is making this harder than it should be. The ornaments fall as the squirrel knocks them off the tree. If any ornament falls completely off the tree, the owner awakes and the game is over, and the players lose. During the game, the players will place ornaments on the tree, and with enough help, they can place the garland around each level on the tree. If the players get all the garland on the tree at each level, plus the shiny yellow star, they win.
In Trim the Tree players cooperatively play cards to add elves to the tree in order to add garland/tinsel around it. Each level of the tree requires support of like-minded elves, indicated by the color of the card. Finish the garland at all levels before the card deck runs out, or you took too long and the family wakes up and you lose.
