Description

Trio is a mental arithmetic game where players find three adjacent number cards to match a randomly drawn target number. The game setup involves 49 square cards numbered from 1 to 9, which are shuffled and arranged in a 7x7 grid, while 50 round cards indicating target numbers from 1 to 50 are placed face down. During gameplay, one player draws a round card and places it face up, and then all players search for three adjacent number cards—aligned vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. To achieve the target number, players must use two of the three numbers in a multiplication operation and then either add or subtract the third number. For example, to reach the result of 32, a player could calculate 6 x 7 + 4, and to achieve 51, the calculation could be 8 x 7 - 5. Players compete to find a valid combination first.
