From the introduction:
Seattle. Once known as "The Emerald City," the foliage that gave the city its nickname has long since been replaced by asphalt, concrete, tar, and pollution. A dreary, rain-soaked place packed full of people of all walks of life, there is still plenty of money to be made in the shadows... if you know where to look.
Luckily, you have one of the best Fixers in the biz. As the money from your last run runs dry, you seek him out. His streetname is Buffalo, a very large and shaggy human former runner with more than a few scars on his face and body. Cosmetic surgery could easily have taken care of these scars, but instead he chooses to wear them like trophies. He has even added to his fierce appearance with some implanted horns on his temples that makes him distinctly troll-like, and gives more than a few onlookers the impression that this is not a man to mess with. You tell him you're looking to make a run, and a few phone calls later he's got a possibility for you... for a fee, of course.
