Turtle Thumb Tussle

Description

Rather than go to war, the indigenous tribes of Chelonia have invented a novel way of settling disputes. As my learned reader will no doubt be aware, Chelonia is the last remaining habitat of Proganochelys quenstedti, the roof turtle; now hunted to extinction elsewhere because of its colourful shell. The natives play a game on the backs of the turtles, which is described below. Naturally, the game must be played quickly before the affronted turtle reaches the water and swims off.

In Turtle Thumb Tussle, two players use their hands to occupy territory on a board resembling a turtle's shell. Players roll dice to determine which finger moves next, and to what colour. Think Twister meets Sumo with hands instead of bodies, and you won't be far off the mark!
