...The first duel of the day was simple. The enemy wore a suit covered in mirrors, so Gned's laser pistol could not harm him. The battle quickly became a hand-to-hand brawl. Eventually, Gned was able to get a hold of his foe's heavy club and cave his head in with it.
The second duel was much more difficult. Gned battled a fiery anger elemental. The two combatants dodged and weaved between the arena's towering pillars. At one point, Gned was caught by a particularly well placed fireball and he was blanketed in flames. The enemy approached to finish him off as he extinguished himself, but Gned surprised them with a handful of sand to the eyes. Gned snuck up behind his blinded foe and drove his sword through them in a sneak attack. The enemy panicked and tried to flee, but Gned caught them with a second slash from his blade.
Gned wondered who he would fight in the final round. No bounty hunters had appeared yet, but Gned knew that even an arena as remote as this one wasn't safe from them. He turned back to the basin hoping to drink just a little more of its water, but it was already beginning to vanish. Round three was about to begin...
