As the heroes travel to Rome to investigate the mysterious Rosicrucians they receive a dreadful vision. In Rome, an evil of unearthly antiquity has been unleashed. Now, one of the Red Death's chief lieutenants has been freed after millennia of imprisonment. The heroes find themselves caught in a battle between two evils of legendary power. Can they survive?
This adventure occurs in June 1897 and is part 5 of the Amulet series. Playing the previous parts of this series is helpful, but not required.
Heroes of levels 1-14 can participate as can those with levels in the prestige class Shepherd.
The Living Death Campaign uses Masque of the Red Death.
