On December 17th 2012 the event known as the Impact occurs. While the largest fragment of the Impactor landed in the Pacific Ocean, the United States, Europe, and North-Western Africa were hit by fragments of the Impactor. Several of the largest pieces of the impactor formed dimensional breaches. In the end billions died but humanity managed to crawl itself back from near extinction.
