This vampire’s castle is located within an unsettling forest, surrounded by a mysterious rolling fog and dying trees. The vampire dwelling within it has been cruelly manipulating a nearby town, picking off its inhabitants selectively until the rulers considered his offer; bring him weekly offerings of… food, voluntarily, and he’ll endow them with great powers.
Your players–unaware of the deal–have been asked to guard the noble’s carriage to the vampire’s castle for “negotiations”, where they are then ambushed by vampire hunters and the plot is exposed. They will have to choose to risk attacking the vampire with the hunters, or support nobility who would sacrifice their own people.
