Vault Dwarves: A Cultural Sourcebook

Game ID: GID0375986
Collection Status
Description

Trapped inside their mountain stronghold on magical lockdown, the lives of Vault Dwarves are centered around maintaining the life support systems across the city. Equip a VaultCo Data Bracer and gasmask and go get those machines running again while you can still breathe...

Explore the Vault: With adventure seeds that juggle decaying infrastructure with class consciousness and wealth disparity, run a Bottle Campaign in the Vault and force your players to choose sides in the battle between dangerous Truth and comfortable Familiarity.

The residents of the Heights live lives of automated luxury while the workers of the Beantown dormitories struggle to keep the machine running. Almost every business in the city has been bought out by VaultCo and 80% of workers' salaries are paid in store credit. Workers rights protests occur frequently and are violently repressed by the Watchcogs, with security checkpoints across the city keeping the poor segregated from the rich. Amid the backdrop of bloody revolution, a wealthy playboy discovers a terrible secret about the Lockdown in his deceased father's data archives that could throw the Vault into chaos if released, and he seeks sympathetic adventurers to help him get to the bottom of it.

Sow a story of intrigue and social horror inspired by Fritz Lang's Metropolis, contemporary issues, #Hoxhagang Cold War paranoia and the Fallout series.
