It is 1627. The strategically important Beast Valley is centerstage in the machinations of its neighbours. The delicate balance of allegiances, informal agreements and old loyalties start to unravel as a power vacuum left by the weakening beast men draws each side closer to conflict.
Velhara’s Mirror follows on from The Ruins of Bonn Kanach and forms part two of the Beast Valley campaign, however it can be used as a stand alone resource. The booklet has three main sections:
a description of each of the relevant factions listing their relationships with the others,
a collection of six scenario seeds indicative of the challenges that engulf Beast Valley,
and a complete adventure Velhara’s Mirror, a HeroQuest hunt for the affections of the goddess Velhara.
The goal for the game master is to set the stage whereby the adventurers are compelled to commit to one or more factions and make full use of Loyalty, Devotion and Hate Passions to drive home the adventurers connections and conflicting motivations.
