Also known as "Hellwigs Kriegsspiel" (Hellwigs Wargame) or "Braunschweiger Kriegsspiel" (Brunswick Wargame).
It's an attempt to recreate 18th century warfare through an chess-like approach.
Mainly it was made for military education and entertainment.
The main goal is to capture the enemy fortress.
Players have Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery to obtain their task.
One unit represents a battalion.
The movement of the pieces and combat is similar to chess.
The game is played on a board with 1617 squares depicting terrain like towns, marshes and rivers.
