In Veterans, one player is the Audience (roughly like a limited game master). The Audience gives or takes tokens to the other players.
The other players are Veterans who take turns spinning yarns about their military service. If the Audience likes the story, she or he gives a token to the Veteran; otherwise, a token is taken away. Veterans can try to "one up" a previous story, essentially stealing the token.
When one Veteran loses all her or his tokens, the game ends and the Veteran with the most tokens wins.
