Victorus in Latin means conqueror and now springs to life as a highly tactical medieval abstract game for up to 6 players. Each player controls a chess-style army consisting of a king, a queen, and a variety of supporting knights. The object of the game is to maneuver one of your royalty around the hexagonal board then reach the center space.
The hex board offers a variety of movement options for each type of piece and, combined with the rule that capturing an opponent's piece awards an extra turn, creates an ever expanding web of possibility. Knights are themselves promoted to royalty after their second capture and gain increased mobility with a second move every turn.
The drama increases when the royal families embark on their journeys of destiny to conquer the central territory and become MAGNA VICTORUS.
