From the introduction:
Minas Tirith is failing, slowly but surely. Osgiliath is held, but Minas Morgul stills leers at the men of Gondor like a displayed corpse; hints and rumors come of the re-building of the Barad-Dur, and the Easterlings stir along the sea of Rhžn. Recently, the party was involved in an adventure on the high seas, wherein corsairs and pirate raiders disrupted trade between Gondor and Near Harad. A den of pirates, headed and organized by a Black Numenorean, was responsible. After much intrigue in the City of Boshe Diar, the party tracked down and destroyed the raiders. The Black Numenorean, Aegnor (nicknamed Vinglok, "Sea-Drake"), was dispatched with a reverse gravity spell, and floated out over the oceans to be lost. Little did the party know the power of his armor. He survived, and seeks to destroy the party.
