The novelty in this game lies in the combination of word or letter play with Rummikub-like mechanics. With "Vokabo" the goals is to lay out 15 letter cards according to certain rules as rapidly as possible. One needs at least 20 points for the first laying out, and the words must be formed from at least three letters. When laying out one may extend existing words or change them to new words. In contrast to "Scrabble", which develops slowly, the game situation changes constantly in "Vokabo". Flexibility is required as well as constant thought.
