Vs. Super Mario Bros. is an arcade game for Nintendo's NES-based Vs. Uniystem type cabinets. It was the first Nintendo-developed followup to Super Mario Bros., and features identical gameplay but changed or new stages (some of which appeared in the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2, released soon after). It is also the first Super Mario Bros. game to have a multiplayer mode.
