Along the ancient highway the locals call Pasvern Street is a coaching inn. Popular with merchant caravans and groups of pilgrims, the Wagoner’s Rest is built on an old Imperial waystation.

A collection of tankards from many lands sits upon a shelf behind the bar. The drink flows freely, the food is magnificent, and the company usually congenial — if the power-hungry chef can avoid overreaching his sorcerous abilities.
