Wake

In Wake players move their sailing boats upwind two cards at a time. As the biggest gains and losses in yacht racing are usually on the up-wind legs, this is what Wake models.

Cards are played face down simultaneously. Then flipped to determine player order. But a player does not have to use the card they played, for a card to be added to a boats wake (always two cards long) it must not be less than the sum of the two cards already in the wake. If a player is unable to add a card to their boats wake, they may "bank" it face down for additional value in a following turn.

The first boat to round the windward mark is the winner.
