Warlock Subclass: the Pharaoh

Game ID: GID0383106
Collection Status
Description

The Pharaohs were once the powerful rulers of a long-gone civilization that worshiped the undead as their gods. They built elaborate tombs and mausoleums, filled with traps and treasure, where they would be buried with their possessions and servants to guide them to the afterlife. It is said that the Pharaohs’ power came from their connection to the afterlife, where they could communicate with the dead and control the spirits of the departed.

The Pharaohs that warlocks make a pact with are some of the most powerful and feared undead creatures in existence. They have existed for millenniums, guarded by powerful magic and traps, waiting for someone worthy to inherit their power. The Pharaoh bestows upon the warlock the ability to harness the power of the undead, gives the ability to resurrect people, and even turns their most devoted warlocks into powerful Mummy Lords!

Pharaoh warlock spells and abilities are focused on necromancy. The Pharaohs’ abilities also grant them immunity to various types of damage and conditions that would otherwise affect the living.

As a warlock of the Pharaoh, the character might see themselves as a ruler of the undead, with a deep knowledge of ancient magic and history. They may be feared and revered by those who know of their powers, and might be sought after for their ability to control the spirits of the dead and predict the future. However, they may also be seen as a threat or blasphemy to those who follow more traditional gods or religions.
