The Watchers of Layl protect the interests of the Gaian Consortiu (GC) in Jadid Assyria, the newly restored modern Kingdom of Assyria comprising of the remnants of Iraq, Kuwait, and Syria formed in 2062. The Watchers of Layl operate mostly in and around the Temple of Layl (Temple of Night) in Nineveh, the capital City located in the North of Jadid Assyria. King Saif al Ruh, through his pursuit of tolerance and fairness in all matters, has managed to secure peace in the region and has invited the Watchers to help protect his people from Magical and super-natural threats. Practically the Watchers operate as one paramilitary group among many loyal to the King. Many know the true purpose for their existence in the region.
