Characters in Way of the Samurai have Attributes and Skills that provide modifiers in some circumstances. Various tests are presented during solitaire play, some fairly traditional but others very atypical and imaginative. Overall play is quite unusual for a solo RPG.
Note although the manual is 40 pages (PDF), the rules appear on the first 14 pages, a character sheet appears on 2 pages, and the remaining 24 pages are blank to enable a record of play.
