There is darkness at the bottom of the ocean, and strange sounds which defy logic. There are creatures which have adapted to bitter cold, and pressure. Nightmares live within the depths, and even those that stare into the far realm fear that which lies below the waves. It’s best to think of the depths as layers. Near the surface you may find underwater vessels and large fish, along with tools used to explore the water. Deeper in, you’ll stumble on cities of the water-living races, ancient tombs, and long lost societies. Within these societies you’ll see reverence given to giant pearls that contain raw power, fueling whole cities. At the bottom, in the places no one should ever explore, are magics best left forgotten. Along with the creatures of the deepest depths, there is known to be a suit of armor that contains the soul of a dying god, just waiting to feed its way back to glory.
