Epic Adventures Among the Endless Worlds

WeltalMyria is a "universal" role playing game-- a universal role playing game with a universe. All of the worlds which the players create and adventure in not only share a common set of rules, they also share a common universe. The WeltanMyr.

The WeltanMyr is made up of an endless array of Spheres, complete worlds, each a separate universe unto itself, which, when viewed from the primal metaspace of the Archepm Al-Mithral appear as great spheres, each as perfect as a pearl. A pearl that, like the oyster, holds within it an entire reality, accessible to those who can reach inside.

The Spheres are in motion within the Archepm Al-Mithral, forming systems among themselves, and even spinning together to form great constellations, the conjunctions of which can last ages, or merely seconds.

The driving force behind this movement, and the creation and destruction of the Spheres, is the Oneiromacht. The Oneiromacht is the extant force of the collective dreams and visions, myths & legends of sentience , called "Man." One of the basic tenets of the Spheres is that sentience is incarnate among all the worlds of the WeltanMyr in the form of "Man." Man is the creature aware of its own existence. Questioning the genesis of that existence, and its purpose, and creating and pursuing forms to explore it. This questing by man is felt as the relentless metaphysical tide of the Oneiromacht, streaming forth from each Sphere to shape and warp the primal matter of the Archepm Al-Mithral

As a star is surrounded by and emits all manner of fields and forces, gravity, electromagnetism, the solar wind, so too does a Sphere. The force of the Oneiromacht burns forth from each Sphere, impacting on the primal reality that is the Archepm Al-Mithral just as the stars we know shape and warp and give light to the space around them. It is this force which drives the eternal dance of the Spheres, their creation & destruction.

All of the worlds of the WeltanMyr are set against this vast, compelling mythos. Within this limitless universe, the players are free to create and adventure in any world, or worlds, they can imagine, whether it be a "flat" world, cut off from the rest of the WeltanMyr by the force of the Oneiromacht, or a system of Spheres, with travel, by way of the Archepm Al-Mithral, possible between them.

The game system supports whatever sort of game the players want, it can be a traditional game, limited to a single world, or elements of the WeltanMyr mythos may be incorporated, allowing a truly epic game, across multiple worlds.

WeltalMyria uses the MEGAGE (meh’-gah-gayge) rules system, as its basic "language". This language provides the terms and mechanics necessary to describe the workings of the WeltalMyria universe, and portray the adventures of the characters that inhabit it.

The characteristics of this "game language" are expressed in the rules system’s name of MEGAGE (meh’-gah-gayge).

First, in its pronunciation of (meh’-gah-gayge), the idea of the rules systems ability to provide players a "mega-gage", a single seamless measurement system able to handle anything they might imagine, is expressed.

Second, in the acronym MEGAGE, Multiple Environ & Genre Adventure Game Engine, the thrust of the system, a vast framework for describing worlds and staging adventures, is defined.
