Description

This is a variant to the free set up scenario of the game When Eagles Fight.

Here we assume that as the "July Crisis" worsened, a change of heart came over the German General Staff to the point they abandoned their idea of first scoring a victory over France. Accordingly, they resolve to stand with two armies in Alsace-Lorraine and switch everything else to the East to win a quick knockout against the Romanov.

In this scenario some units of the initial OB are deleted, and add 17 variant counters, plus 12 units from the reinforcements.

Other changes are that Central Powers are the first player each turn, and no receive turn 2 reinforcements.
Play stops after the victory check of game turn 2, and the CP must win with the normal victory conditions of the game.
