Written for a party of 3rd to 5th level characters “Where the Dead Speak” is a follow up to K1 “A Trip to Town.” This adventure is focused primarily on combat, but there are opportunities for role-playing and storytelling.
A Walker of Bones who has chosen the traditions of her ancestors over her faith in a demon lord has asked the heroes to untangle a web of orcish tradition, honor, and theology. They must prove the Bone Walkers unworthy of their role as guardians of the cave where the dead speak.
As a hook, this adventure can provide the PCs access to a special version of speak with dead.
While the encounters in this adventure are linked into a coherent story, you can cannibalize this adventure for standalone encounters that can be run on their own.
