Whimsy is an innovative game of storytelling where each player tells the story of a specific character on a unique personal quest which could be anything from saving the world to finding their lost hat. On their turn, players stack cards to create unique situations and tasks that they have to solve on the way to fulfilling their quest.
Players solve tasks by handing card-combinations representing possible solutions to each other. Whenever someone chooses the card-combination you have passed to them as their approach, your odds of succeeding in your own tasks go up.
Thus, Whimsy offers a unique combination of freedom and structure facilitating creative storytelling that is solidly supported by the mechanics.
Games typically last around 20-25 minutes per player.
