From the introduction:
There hasn’t been two moons yet since you first met Prince Belliard Otam. Well, he calls himself “prince” despite the fact that his lands, fortune and army pales in comparison to the Hellaks of Oldertam or the noble Maxias of Karlo. Prince or not, mister Belliard is still the wealthiest man in the region and that comes with a fair amount of respect. It is not unwarranted either, because he has shown great generosity towards the people who live in the shadow of the mountains and the fact that he has let you stay with him all this time. You would think that such a wealthy lord with both land, cattle and sons and daughters would be a little more careful with whom he invites into his home, especially in dark times like these, with Dark Breed and ogres roaming the Oldmark. Belliard Otam, however, is no fool, and he recognises capable fighters when he sees them. They are few and far between nowadays. So, as luck would have it, you remained in the Prince’s estate for a time, until the day Ereb Altor called upon you once again.
