The theme of this supplement is the feywild, so all of the spells relate to the fey and the myths, stories, and legends that inspired them. These sources often have a deep connection with nature, so druids get almost half of the new spells added to their list. Sorcerers and Wizards benefit the most, however, since the mystical aspects of feywild, such as illusions and teleportation, lend themselves to both spell lists.
With that, a good deal of spells draw from a fey or other creature and imitate some of its power. This includes things as mysterious as the hinkypunk and guickling to as mundane as a swarm of bees. This is used to achieve a variety of effects, such as manipulating probability, twisting a creature into a hideous monster, pecking out eyes with a murder of crows, and scaring creatures to death. The nature and plant themed spells lean on the forest's mystic aspect in legends. Several of these spells connect the caster with the ancient spirits of the forest to manipulate mighty trees and the souls they contain for both attack and defense. Others allow you to summon or conjure plants to heal, support, or induce negative effects on hostile creatures.
