No job, short on cash and a friend in need. You decide to help your old friend Ace who has sent you a disturbing letter. He has heard of weird creatures moving in the night. Ace asks for your assistance as he plans to investigate members of a secret cult he has discovered as the source of this evil. Just before arrival, you get the news that Ace is found shot and mutilated in an alley. You decide to finish what Ace has started by collecting clues about the case trying to catch who is behind Ace death.
A game for 2-4 investigators trying to identify who killed Ace as well as summoning unearthly beings to kill off all key witnesses. The game ends after 15 game rounds or earlier if the monsters manage to kill four of the key witnesses.
The investigators compete for clues, possibly even stealing from each other before presenting the evidence to the police or the local newspaper. The investigator accumulating the highest total score of clues collected at the end of round 15 wins.
