Within a Heart of Darkness is an adventure supplement for the Emergence Roleplaying Game that continues the events of the sample adventure “When Things Go Bump” from the Core Rulebook.
Despite achieving victory over the murderers and thieves of “When Things Go Bump,” it was clear to all that more nefarious elements were at work behind the scenes. Throughout this adventure the heroes will attempt to track Azul, the mysterious figure from the final showdown of their last mission.
They will face foes both mundane and exotic while traveling to multiple locales throughout the S.E.A. and the Verge. They will seek to uncover the truth of their enemies’ plans and the identity of Kerrath, the enigmatic master of their quarry. Their task will not be easy, but the measure of a hero can be no greater than that of his enemies.
This adventure is intended for 3-6 players of 2nd level. The PC’s will advance to approximately 5th level over the course of 5-6 average length game sessions.
