In Word Drop, there are two teams: the “secret word team” and the “guessing team.” The secret word team is assigned a word that their main player must then use in a short conversation timed by a 3 minute sand timer. The other member(s) of the secret word team will need to help guide the flow of the conversation such that the main player can use their assigned word as naturally as possible.
The guessing team, who has to start the conversation, tries to figure out which words used by the secret word team feel a little off or unnatural in an effort to deduce what the assigned word might have been.
After the sand timer runs out, if the main player on the secret word team was able to “drop” the word successfully, the guessing team will state three words that they think could have been the secret word - if one is correct, the guessing team wins! If not, the secret word team wins by concealing their assigned word.
