User summary

This game, authored by August Schau, was published as type-in source code in Compute!, Issue 27, August 1982. It accepts a custom list of words and then builds a traditional "word search" matrix for printing - an "answer key" also is printed. Completion of the puzzle is performed on paper. A few options are supported. Variations of the source code listing to support multiple computer systems are noted.

The game primarily was intended to allow school teachers to generate large numbers of unique and custom word search puzzles for students. The result was intended to demonstrate the value of computers in education.
