Description
From a deck of 48 letter cards, the dealer chooses the size of the hand for the deal, dealing 3, 4 or 5 cards to each player face down. At a signal from the dealer, everyone looks at their hand and tries to make a word using all their cards. They can discard cards and be dealt replacements as desired. The first person to make a word says "Word!" and gets 10 points; achieving 100 points total over several hands wins the game.
An alternate way to play is to deal 8 cards per player. Players take turns placing one letter in the center of the table; if a player completes a word using all letters they take them and start a new "trick". Taking the most words wins.
