From publisher blurb:
The world of Nuera has never known a lasting peace. Embroiled in war since their founding, the nations of Nuera have fought for territory, for resources, and for their very survival throughout the ages of their world. Of them all, the kingdom of Dardarrick has managed to withstand the might of its enemies and emerge as the most powerful nation on Nuera’s six continents. Though it too has suffered the ravages of battle many times, Dardarrick has endured and grown into the world’s dominant power in both martial and magical might.
But in Dardarrick’s rising shadow, the world has become increasingly unstable. The nation of Lorn battered relentlessly on several fronts, is on the point of total collapse. Thousands of its people have been slaughtered, many by their own government as they struggle to find an escape from forced conscription. Their allies, the kingdom of Torres can offer little aid as its leaders have become embroiled in a religious fervor that drives to raid its enemies constantly, leaving no possible target – even children and churches to the same gods they venerate – unscathed.
Meanwhile, the Wildlands are a constant source of danger to every other nation, as its population of monstrous beasts and humanoids never stops growing. Without an endless effort to keep their numbers under control, these savage ogres, goblins, trolls, and giant-kin would overrun Nuera and slaughter every living thing on all six continents and across its many islands.
Above it all, Dardarrick has managed to survive unconquered, but not unscarred.
Welcome to Wraith Recon
Originally a setting book written for the Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition GLS in 2008, the new Wraith Recon is being released as a standalone roleplaying game, complete with the World of Nuera campaign setting, all updated and rewritten with the FeralEngine system in mind. The plots of the previous setting have all been advanced, becoming either resolved or even more complex than before, and new threats lurk in every shadow.
