WWF War Zone was the first 3D WWF game to be released. The game features 18 characters, and 6 modes of play, as well as a create-a-player mode. The Nintendo 64 version included two bonus modes: Gauntlet and Royal Rumble.
The game's main gameplay feature is the momentum system. As the player executes a variety of moves on their opponent, the crowd will get behind them and increase the effectiveness of the moves used on their opponent while the crowd is cheering their name.
