Xenoblade Chronicles X is a video game developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo for the Wii U. It was first released in Japan on April 24th 2015 before seeing release in North American and Europe on December 4th of the same year.
An expanded remaster, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, was released worldwide on March 20th 2025 for the Nintendo Switch. The remaster includes all the DLC from the Wii U release as well as enhanced visuals, streamlined gameplay and interface adjustments, new post-game story content, new music and two new companion characters.
The title is part of Monolith Soft's Xenoblade Chronicles series as well as the larger Xeno metaseries. However, it is a stand-alone entry that doesn't share any narrative connections to the other game's in the series.
