タビネズミ開拓記 (Lemmings' Frontier) is a co-operative game from Japan, with lemmings exploring and taming a new wild land. The game is played with two phases each round: an Investigation phase of exploring and tackling monsters, and a Base phase of using the resources gathered from exploring to improve the camp and make new tools.
The game has skill cards and item cards, and two boards. The smaller board is the Base camp and a pathway leads on and through the larger board. Here, the path branches, letting the lemmings find different routes through to the final goal. Each location contains a hidden creature and the end goals also vary. Players only win if they complete the adventure and satisfy the final goal's demands.
Players defeat the monsters by combining tools and skills to beat a strength target on the monster's card.
