Description

ナンバース (NumVS) is a quick trick taking card game from Japan for two players.

The deck has a set of cards for both players, numbered 3,5,7,10 and an Overwork card. And there is a set of 5 Skills cards. Each player takes their hand cards, and the skill cards are shuffled and dealt two to each player. The fifth Skill card is discarded unseen.

Each round, a player chooses one of their Skill cards face-down, and then both players choose a number card face-down. The cards are turned up and the highest number wins. However, the Skill cards affect the outcome. So players have to be careful in their choices. They know which cards have already been played, and can use their combination of Skill and numbers to win the rounds.

The player that wins the round takes the number card of the other player as their score. At the end, the players add up all the cards won, and the highest total wins.
