Barentor consists of 12 cards. Each round, a subset of these cards are given to one player who selects some to keep, and passes others to the next player. Typically, a card is removed randomly before the next player looks at them; the next player also chooses two cards and passes them on. A variation of this happens for each player (and player count.)
Once everyone has two cards, their effects are resolved in order, beginning with the 1 and ending with the 12. Then, each player sums the cards in front of them, taking into account any effects. Each player compares their sum with the sum of the first player only. For each pair making the comparison, the person with the higher sum earns 1 point.
The game lasts a number of rounds and the person with the most points wins.
