Description

怪盗レオンの予告状 (Kaito Leon no Yokokujo) is a butting game from Japan.

There is a notoriously phantasmagorical jewel thief, Leon. Leon cannot be caught or even identified. This is because Leon is actually several different people. These thieves are trying to steal more jewels for themselves and so send out letters to the other thieves telling them which jewels to leave.

The players have a set of cards numbered 1 to 5 in three colours, red, yellow, blue. They play two cards face-down to the table to decide which jewels they will take. The jewels are in 6 colours, red, yellow, blue and also green, orange and purple. Some gems are drawn at random from a bag and are the jewels Leon is trying to steal.

Players reveal their cards and work out, by combination and value, who gets which gems. So if a player plays two red cards, they will get the red gems. But a red and yellow card means they will get the orange gems.

Where a player has a unique colour combo, they take the gems right away. But where players have the same combo, then the values of the cards determine the winner.

In addition, players have fake letters which can be used to bluff their oponents.

The player with the most gems at the end wins the game as the most successful Leon.
