Millennium Blades - Collusion

0:10 viewer discretion is advised hey everyone welcome back to board games unlocked and today i'm doing an interesting topic for millennium blades collusion uh similar to what i did with the battlecon stuff except this isn't going to be as grandiose because millennium blades was really just a bunch of cards anyway with a very simple storage solution to begin with uh and battlecon was way bigger and sprawling and unorganized at least millennium blades had something for it instead of what battlecon had but uh if you're not familiar millennium blades collusion is the final end-all be-all for millennium blade so a similar idea to what they had with battlecon words like hey we're done this is the updated complete version and everything is going to be concise and and you know updated so uh what i'm going to be doing in this video is i'm going to be kind of talking about not exactly what collusion is bringing because it's just another expansion with more cards but really i wanted to talk about the storage solutions that they did and kind of what you get you had in the base box and kind of what it relatively looks like here so as you can see i have one big box here and then another one over on the uh to to the right of me that basically you need both if you are sleeving the cards everything for the game can fit in one box if you do not have

1:43 uh like if if you don't sleep them so that is that now this is a [ __ ] of a situation i i don't get it i i am i do not understand the thought process behind level 99's games and and their kickstarters because they seem to just be right on the cusp of doing something great and then they completely [ __ ] it up whenever it it comes to actually fulfilling so i have received my copy and i have received my copy of battlecon and it's always it's just they they make the the stupidest mistakes that could have been easily resolved if they had just waited a few more months to deliver not not to deliver sorry a few more months to actually like do they not get their uh the prototypes in do they and if they do if they don't well that's on that's on them for not getting prototypes sent to them before they actually say hey you know completely print all this if they do and then they decide oh no this looks good well then that that's even more i don't know which one's worse like that they just completely it's just it's neglectful all around because first of all let me go into the second box that is pretty much useless because one the inserts kind of cheap and i'm not saying they needed to do

3:14 a game trace because that wouldn't have really made sense so i'm not faulting them for that but to do a flimsy ass like you know saran wrap like insert uh where it comes warped where you are storing cards and one these are too wide anyway so it almost doesn't quite make sense but because you'll see what it looks like in here um but mine came broken and this is not just me like normally it's whenever i do unboxings it's like well you know my shitty luck nope i went through the comments of the kickstarter and this was pretty much everyone's like my ins that's that's cracked and then down here is is completely busted so for a storage solution for cards where it's cracked and warped like this is uh because they shoved everything from this uh from this kickstarter into this one box they just shoved everything down here so through shipping it became warped which means the cards won't fit which they don't really anyway and it comes broken now they have acknowledged this by saying oh well you know like the warping can be fixed if you put a hairdryer to it and the crack can be fixed with a couple with with some tape no no we paid you for a product that that should come mint condition if every [ __ ] company out there went and said oh sorry the right broken but you can actually fix it yourself i

4:46 didn't pay you to fix a broken a broken product i paid you for a pristine product that should come fixed and it is your responsibility to actually replace that if need be so what basically you can you can't submit a a service ticket to them and contact them and they're just like well we don't really have a lot of replacements what are you doing as a business that you do not foresee issues happening uh through shipping especially through the shipping that's happening right now and you don't plan for that that is just a neglect that's just bad business practice and for you to put it off on the consumer to fix your issue is is inherently like that just means you do not give a [ __ ] about about your fan base you don't give a [ __ ] about the people who made this a reality like this went on kickstarter therefore people were like hey i really want this and i want to support level 99 games i want to support the designers the whole company and it's it's incredibly insulting at least for me for you as a company to then be like oh you know sorry it sucks to suck but how about you just get some [ __ ] scotch tape you peasant like that's that's really what what it came down to so no i i refuse to fix this myself i refuse to do that for anything it's like i paid you you are the business you rake in a lot more money than i do so

6:17 i i should not have to fix this if it came with me like because at first i thought it was just the one crack you know on on the side like i showed again at first i thought it was the one crack but uh but then nope it actually turns out the other edge was actually just completely shattered if it was just the warping fine there's play mats in here i can roll those up put that in the middle and then use the edges for cards which i might still [ __ ] do i don't i don't know just to utilize the second box or just not sleeve this because to be honest this hardly hits the table anyway but it's just it's not the fact that this is unusable it's the principle of the fact that i i paid for it and i wanted to come in any respectable condition so i haven't heard back from them i'm assuming they're getting flooded with a bunch of where's my order where eno which might be justified might be not i don't know um but they're probably getting flooded with a bunch of stuff but here that's not the only issue so essentially i don't know why i mean with the state of the insert i'm assuming that if they did a really massive box that it would have come [ __ ] up anyway the i'm surprised my box is actually not broken because it literally came in no no uh packaging which might not be their fault i don't know how the actual packaging comes or like if that's if that's based on who's shipping it or if that's like them telling them how to ship it i'm pretty sure it's not but it came in literally like a like a

7:48 sleeve like you know how like everyday or something like some games have sleeves it came in that with a thin cardboard on the top and bottom i i don't know what the [ __ ] that was about so i got lucky on my box not being destroyed so at least the box looks good um but yeah had to definitely talk about the the warping and the crackage uh that that is a very common thing that i've been seeing of how like oh it's warped and shattered so that's that but there are a lot of other issues and this is something i actually should have expected coming from the battlecon uh wanderers like the full uh unleashed where just misprints all over the place and i'll show that a little bit um but so let me go and uh let me put up the the second camera so i can actually show you what the the insert looks like and what what i used to use so bear with me so here is uh the original box and uh what i actually had purchased prior to that was a pretty subpar uh insert like a like a wooden insert here's just all the extra stuff so this was the wooden insert that i got it was actually really good it's just this hardly fits like it does technically fit but like if i needed to get stuff oh well that's now now it's all gonna come out easily but i it previously it did not but so i

9:19 had like a score card thing and then i had like a money a money tray and uh and then this thing was to store the um like the the cell markers and then the the wooden cubes and then this was the uh plus one like stuff too for your cards um this could have easily been what they did here they did not do that so i mean while i'm not i'm not expecting a wooden image who knows maybe broken token will come with a wooden insert for for this uh which would be fantastic they could make one for this they couldn't do it for battlecon that's fine battlecon is just the tuck boxes um so this is what i i was using obviously i can't continue using this because it was pretty much filled to the core but yeah i had a section for store uh the core cards expansion the premiums uh bronze promo silver promo gold promo master and then some miscellaneous stuff this was all this was all actually pretty good um but then we traded in for the collusion set uh the one i can actually use because this one did not come broken and uh you get the like the the rule said like oh what changed yeah yeah that's fine um what was nice was the complete game rules which uh i mean cool i mean i'm sure it's riddled with typos then you have the uh duelist guide that kind of just

10:51 goes over the different things i actually really appreciate this uh like talks about all this like all the different excuse me all the different sets uh so you can verify what what expansions you have and what you don't i'm pretty sure i have everything uh and if i don't i am oh no i'm missing the fusion k the fusion chaos and then there is uh two two characters i don't have um that i thought i i would have uh but i'm sure i can figure that out uh but yeah so it talks about the different the different uh you know players uh which is which is really cool then we get to this now these came a little warped uh but not not warped i guess but like crinkled um they say apparently if you leave it out it'll flatten i'm not too worried about this these just feel cheap uh like normal neoprene from like an actual neoprene mat it just doesn't feel quite right it's fine because literally this is just a glorified card placement so it's not like this is uh really utilized if uh so it's gonna be fine they just don't feel up to up to par but you have the npc area the the different um like the the store and then you have the the meta the mother meta area so there's that then you get your you get six um player boards because

12:24 now it plays up to six players i can't imagine playing this with six that would really make no sense honestly like this could disease will be a two-player game just because if the the it's it's a competitive card game but yeah apparently this is updated to the uh new rules maybe the the different types of like collection area or the um like with elements and things like that so yep this is all fine this is all fine and this is what the insert looks like with everything uh stored and not sleeved and it's just it's very lackluster and whenever you think of a when you think of like an end-all hey a big grandiose we're going to end with a bang uh of to consolidate everything to organize everything for you for the fans who have been with us for so long with so many expansions you bought all of them yeah we're going to give you three three columns no no other real way of storing no no nothing nice like a a wooden i'm not saying it had to be a wooden insert but it could have been something like this where it's organized you know it's just it's it's just kind of like they they went the bare minimum and i'm not saying that this wasn't hard to do because to make a game like like level 99 does they they make a game that is so grandiose in scale like battlecon with all the different fighters and trying to balance it

13:55 um and then to do a collectible card game as a as a board game uh and balance it it's a feat that i i applaud them for however this was they weren't making all of this so um they probably didn't have to do too many rules tweaks too many card tweaks uh they just had to make a decent insert now this is okay i've actually this this came with three three of these things and once again these these are super [ __ ] cheap i could probably flick this and it would break but the the lids are very like they don't snap in or anything here's the this is what the money like the money caddies are and they put a little divot in the inside for for tokens i found i didn't actually really need um a third one i probably would if i got the uh like if i sleeve these and i didn't really need the lids because what's the point because the they gave you more money also in the uh in the collusion expansion the more ones um but there's really no point because it's not going to stay on so i just took them out because what it doesn't really matter so here's here's the here's so let me just keep keep talking uh you get a new score pad that accommodates the six players it's colored yay okay didn't need to be colored but sure it's it's it's nice it's colorful um i mean and this isn't horrible they

15:27 gave you dividers for almost everything but here's where it's annoying because the dividers have misprints all over them and i've organized it in a relatively nice way to keep track of what it is but it's it's still just incredibly frustrating so let me turn this on its side like this so i can kind of go over them so i mean you have a storage for the core cards now what is missing because then you have the characters and some of the new characters like aaron g he has uh i guess he has like mystery cards yeah so he has mystery cards and a lot of people are like well where's the divider for the mystery cards well apparently they go to uh him so they they're like well to storm with him all right fine that's fair uh like that's that's not that big of a deal but then you go into where the two characters i'm actually missing are damn it oh and then for the extra stuff you have to just store it on the side it is rarity and sheffield i don't know if i just never bought them or if they were promo they're probably promos um but there i i don't have them and if i'm supposed to have them then i just don't have them uh but yeah so you have uh stuff for all the different characters that's pretty nice then npcs and then the starter decks now this is where it starts to get pretty [ __ ]

16:57 up you have one two three four five six so you have the six starter sets and then uh for the did i just break that no did i i don't know if i did no i didn't thought i bent it so then in the miscellaneous you put the team deck building and then you put the uh meta meta cards okay yeah sure that's that's miscellaneous that's fine just put those in but for the other starter sets these the gods and myths the great war the the animal farm the mega lot mega mega was it megalopolis megalopolis the future perfect and then the academy nope there is no dividers in in the game uh and they are aware they are aware of that but you don't have them when you get it so you have to wait however long it takes for them to actually make them print them and then ship them and apparently these play mats i must be lucky because a lot of people's got delayed because of the play no some of them got delayed because of play mats most of them got delayed for what i read months due to sleeves so i glad i didn't order sleeves for this game because i wouldn't be reviewing this right now this is just incredibly annoying like this is what i'm talking about whenever it's like did they not get a hey here's what we're going to ship out to people and once again if they did then that just means they didn't give a

18:29 [ __ ] enough to actually inspect and and diligently look and be like okay do we have the dividers for everything do we have are the are they printed correctly because there's a bunch here that are not printed correctly and i'm pretty sure they're they said that they're going to go out and they're looking at ways to fix that that's not very reassuring because what needs to be said is we are going to fix this you will be getting you know updated dividers like mythic games for example when they uh their their games are riddled with fuck-ups all i mean i don't understand how they make all these games and still do it but they say oh we are aware of this we will send you updates we will send you in a rather pack we will send we will update the rules and we'll give you pdfs all that yay so they go out of the way and tell you we are going to fix this level 99 so far has said we are looking at things to to remedy this well you can look all you want that doesn't tell me that you're going to actually fix it and if you're not going to fix it or you're not going to assure us that you're going to fix it why did i give you money for a product that is incomplete so um so yeah so uh you don't have uh dividers for for uh uh what is that six i think that's that's like six starter sets uh in no real way for a workaround i think i think it actually just literally they said put it in the um in the miscellaneous until i yeah well actually i think for

19:59 those they did say put the miscellaneous for now sure all right so then we go into the uh i believe these were the bronze yeah the bronze i put like the promotional packs in the middle and then the single the single packs over on on the right so you have the bronze promo packs i'm not a hundred percent sure on what the uh like what exactly because there there's a list there is actually a list you can look up that tells you what is is messed up but as you could see oh you can actually see it look at that look at look at look look at that look at that right there the devastation of endings um man isn't that nice so we have the bronze promotional packs but the sev the esper x and the uh seventh cross so these these two the seventh cross and then the esper x those are actually bronze promotional packs but as you can see from these well these look a little different don't they well that's because they are this was printed as a silver and it is not a silver because the card literally says it uh as a bronze um promotional pack so once again that that is a thing that that has happened and then uh as you go down into the silver like i have you have the devastation of indines where the car it says silver promotional pack but the actual divider uh

21:31 shows a bronze now i understand that this has no effect on gameplay at all like this is literally me bitching similar to what the the battle con issues that i had with certain token iconography being changed but they didn't bother printing actual replacement tokens it's because this is it they did it again they they like the issues it's like i understand that they probably did they printed these around the same time i got this i mean a few months later after battle cons but it's they are just so close and it's these little things that are incredibly frustrating whenever you wait so long i'm pretty sure this is also about uh two years it may be maybe up to two years waiting on on a product that you are the you that you paid for and i'm not usually one to once i back a game and i get updates i i don't read them like i sit there and i'm like oh okay oh i got a new update is it about shipping nope okay like i i understand i'll get it when i get it but whenever you do get it and it's not up to the standard that it should be it's like why did i wait that long you know uh what's stopping me from reaching on be like you know what just give me a refund like i technically they should honor refunds because now you do have the product whenever it's in limbo and doing the

23:01 production step and then like through the whole kickstarter thing i don't think you probably should get a refund at that point because you technically haven't received it but if i bought this off of their store for example if i'm like hey i want this whole if they sold it on their store and i'm like i i want this and it came like this you should be entitled to a refund and i'm not sitting here being like oh boomer let me speak to your manager this is just a legitimate uh issue and and the cause for concern because that just means a level 99 games has no processes in place to actually uh ensure things like this don't happen but side note so then you go through the silver uh the rest of them are pretty much fine actually i think the gold ended up being fine there were some like they had like the the um like they have the crossover pack so you would they have a near and far one and then they have these events i guess for the near and far pack that people are wondering where the dividers are for the event cards there are none you just put them with the near and far fine that is also fine too uh but yeah i think overall the gold was actually i think the gold was fine uh whatever these are i have no idea what these are put them off to that you just slide them in the side which is stupid as well but then you have these uh new exotic locations uh that you can battle in i've never done these uh but once again

24:32 it's annoying that you have the old old version then you have the new version so it's the same exact art and it's the exam same thing for these but now they're just colored different i don't it's just it's so annoying so you have those that you just kind of slot there uh then you have these save boxes i haven't i've i have no idea what these are like i i guess people people save their save their games all right neat just slide those into the side again uh and then you go into the silver or not the silver the uh single promotional packs so and i think a few of these i think these were relatively correct uh there are of course a few typos no uh shocker one of them i don't remember if it was silver uh or if it was which one it was but it was the they have a it's called temporal odyssey and some of them have different art so you have to when you're sorting these you have to look at the names not the art uh but okay fine just different art but yeah they have it is called temporal odyssey but that's not what the actual card is called so that's just a thing to keep keep an eye out for of course now i can't i can't find it but yeah so then we go into the bronze uh i think these are the these

26:03 are the the bronze or just the same the master pack so as you can see these these right here are all these the the master packs why half of them are that different color i don't know uh but they are the exact same thing and then you go into the oh yeah the sports set is showing it's supposed to be um i believe it's it's also supposed to be a master pack yeah but they put it as something else and that is that's that so then ah man i really don't want to but okay there we go so then of course we have the the money that i'm pretty sure this thing is just going to break there's no real way to organize this anyway other than just hey just stack them and yeah so there's the insert for the number for the for the coins and then there's a stack of money with the tens and fives and then a few ones this whole thing is ones and then yeah you just kind of throw drop it in there like that like a plebe and then you have these where you just there's there's the ones and then inside you have the cell tokens and then the the cubes that you just kind of put in there honestly what what you should do is just take these out and then you can probably use

27:34 this whole box i'm guessing that with those out you could sleeve everything and hopefully it would fit in here if it doesn't fit maybe with all these cards sleeved and you just leave these then you can use the second insert where it's not busted roll up these play nuts put them in the middle and [ __ ] and then put those in in the other box as well and and hope hope it works um so yeah so then you just do that you have this for whatever reason i guess you could use this for the ones especially if you're not uh if if you sleeve all this stuff then you just kind of you would have the room to use the third one it's it's just incredibly incredibly disappointing now this is not a knock on the game like the game once again is perfectly fine just like battlecon was perfectly fine uh even with the a few and the misprints and i they they actually did upload a like an errata like a downloadable pdf for some terminology uh just like the tokens it's like hey you know here's here's the updated card which shows a different token or different wording of a token but just use the old ones it's yeah we we can do that and we are certainly capable of overlooking the the oh i i know that these are the same you know this the same pack so whenever i'm setting up

29:04 the game i i know i know that like i know that the devastation of indines is a silver because i can literally read the actual [ __ ] card that says it's a silver but that's not the point as if people keep making excuses like oh it's fine you can do yourself then that just gives this company leeway to continue to not give a [ __ ] same reason why if it it's it's a correlation uh to look at the video game companies and like like that offer uh micro transactions or that release a broken game cyberpunk uh and if you're like oh it's fine it'll be fixed later it's like that's not i didn't pay for a broken game once again that's that's a very obvious extreme this is not a broken game as far as i know uh but they they have to be held to a higher standard because they are only in business because of us and this is only a success because of us the consumers who backed the game and it's just spinning in the face that they for both of their hey boom we're done with millennial blades we're done with battlecon like here it is here is our storage solution for you guys and uh to add on to our as we're saying goodbye here's a big middle finger because we didn't care enough to do the little things for you we gave you your box you are you happy

30:36 we gave you your tuck boxes we gave you your storage are you happy no well we don't really care obviously this is uh you know yet to be seen of how they do fix maybe the battlecon tokens which i believe i reached out to them and asked and they said that they're gonna eventually do a fix uh and they've hinted at fixing you know the the dividers uh for for the the master promotional sets and then for the insert here and then for including the i think it was a set rotation for the starter for the starter sets there and if they do and they're like and they said they'll announce it in future updates then then great then this whole whole thing is kind of kind of moot but unfortunately i don't have that information right now and people might comment and tell me hey by the way they are going to fix it here's here's what they said fantastic this is what we get and then the broken the broken insert they they absolutely need to fix that and if it costs them money they eat the cost you run a business you eat the cost if you [ __ ] up that's just that's how it goes like it's i'm sorry i do not give businesses who i'm not saying they're ranking in millions of dollars but probably at this point they are because they offer free games on their website all the time they they they should calculate for some cost in uh you know their yearly budget for stuff like this

32:06 um you also get stickers yay stickers stickers yay but hey at least we got our stickers we got a busted insert and misprinted dividers and missing dividers but man you can decorate your broken box make it look a little bit prettier maybe use the stickers to tape up the broken the broken sides and stuff like that that's actually a stupid but that's probably what they're going to ask you to do hey we give you stickers why don't you just use all those and just wrap it around the broken part um but yeah uh that's that's my rant that's my unboxing i oh by the way i don't know anything about if they're if they're fixing the coloration on these set locations i don't really care once again i don't use them i think they're funny uh in terms of like where you can do it but i think kind of it just it bogs out in the game because there's already so much to keep track of um yeah if i had sleeves i would show you what it looks uh whether it looks like sleeved um but yeah so that is my uh rant and thoughts and unboxing and discussion on the millennium blades collusion expansion i hope you enjoyed let me know what you think of all this stuff everything i said in the comments below if you have any inside information with level 99 games and this is why because here's the thing uh i i i genuinely love this company

33:38 they do a lot of great games battlecon this one sellswords is a fun filler game temporal odyssey was great that'll never get supported um they they do these huge projects and they feel the closest to you know unique and innovation um in at least one of the companies in in the board game industry and for them to get so close to like if they had just waited and been and just been like hey you know we like other companies do this that's why it's not like they're the like other companies are like hey we notice a bunch of misprints so sorry it's gonna be delayed fine yeah people are gonna [ __ ] but let them [ __ ] because they're gonna be even more frustrated when they get [ __ ] like this and it's well why don't you wait you [ __ ] didn't you know you you didn't want to wait but they need to hold out and be like look we don't want to release you uh give you a game that is is incomplete this is incomplete battlecom was incomplete um so if it's just it's they they should know better like i said they get so close uh to fulfilling a perfect game and they basically at the end of the day you're like hey well you can still play the game but there's a little wet fart the entire time you're playing you're like what what is that let me set up the game oh yeah that's right i have to look at those bad dividers i have to look at the um okay where am i start well i want to use this starter deck but where's the divider oh that's right i don't have one where where did i put them
